Note: This text is from a later edition. In the first edition it specifies skipping step for
the men (women) lead round in the first figure
the crossings down before the rushed circle left
the heys on the side, and
the lead up crossing and cast back to restore the original set.

A couple of style points handwritten in a copy owned by Susannah Sharp (Cecil Sharp's youngest daughter):-
In the crossing down to form the rushed circle the fourth woman should cross in front of ther partner, but the second couple should have the man go first.
However, in the crossings to get everyone back proper at the end she notes woman first in both cases.
