A1/2: “Figure!”: Men cross through the women (first man first) as women move across outside them, women cross through the men (first woman first) as men cast back to own side, men lead through the women and turn away from each other) as the women cast back to men's side.
B1: Clap with partner: together, right, together, left; turn single. Clap with neighbour; cross with partner.
B2: Back-to-back partner. Four quick changes, no hands, two steps each.
The first part is a half double figure eight across the set and a bit more. Callers: tell them they finish progressed and improper — if they look diagonally across the set, that's where they end up. You can't possibly call the first move in time, so when you walk it through you say: “I'm just going to call this first move Figure”. Get them used to that, so when the music starts you just yell “Figure” and they all do it!
