Duke of Kent's Waltz    Cahusac, 1801. Kentish Hops 2, 1970   Longways duple

A1:   Right-hand star.  Left-hand star.

A2:   Ones give two hands: Chasse 2 steps down the middle, two back, wide cast into second place while twos wait and then lead up.

B:   All give right hand to partner, balance forward and back; change places turning the woman under.  Left hand: same.

C:   On the right diagonal, all right-hand turn.  With partner, all left‑hand turn.

This is the version everyone uses, but A Simons has condensed the dance from triple minor to duple minor and condensed the tune from 48 bars to 32 bars.
